From a management and publicity standpoint, Lana Del Rey does everything the "wrong way,” queue Sublime, but she has the secret to still ending up on top.

Over the years, Lana Del Rey has –

❌ Walked out of interviews

❌ Announced all her album dates on a whim with no accuracy to the dates (often her albums would get released a year+ later)

❌. Made songs glorifying sexual abuse, drug addiction, prostitution, and other dark topics

❌ Posted on social media to her 20 million followers in long posts that would appear offensive to fans not understanding her point

❌ Gotten defensive to criticism and self-destructed

❌ Deleted her Instagram of 20 million followers in favor of a 2 million follower private account

❌ Sold cocaine necklaces to celebrate an album release (yes, this happened)

And so much more. So why is #LanaDelRey still thriving? ⚡️

✅ Well, beyond her obvious talent, she's authentic AF.

✅ She's not afraid to speak to the topics on her mind.

✅ She's down to show all sides of her personality – the manic, the buttoned-up & the messy. This is highly unusual for her level of #celebrity.

She'll be smoking a cigarette in #Hollywood glam one moment, wearing sweats at the gas station the next, and randomly posting a topless photo the next day.

While she hates the haters, she knows she'll always have them, so she may as well be herself.
